Helping Your Community Bloom
This Green Earth Needs You.
Get Involved!
Welcome!
The Tennessee Federation of Garden Clubs is an organization made up of enthusiastic gardeners (both experienced and novice) who wish to network with fellow gardeners from across Tennessee.
Networking is key—from monthly meetings and programs to enhance your understanding of plants, horticulture, landscape design, gardening, and the environment to courses in specific schools that focus on many aspects of gardening.
Our
Mission
TFGC, a supportive member of National Garden Clubs, Inc., and Deep South Garden Clubs, Inc., provides education, resources, and national networking opportunities for its members to promote the love of gardening, floral design, and civic and environmental responsibilities.
Our
Headquarters
The permanent headquarters for TFGC is the Ivan Racheff House and Gardens located at:
1943 Tennessee Avenue
Knoxville, Tennessee 37950-0185

OCTOBER 2022
Conservation Camp
Conservation Camp is a two-day informal member meeting held in October during even-numbered years. We usually meet in state parks and have educational sessions on conservation and state environmental issues. There are also nature hikes, arts and crafts related to nature, outdoor activities, and fellowship. Locations rotate through the four districts.
Conservation Pledge: "I pledge to protect and conserve the natural resources of the planet earth and promise to promote education so we may become caretakers of our air, water, forest, land, and wildlife."
APRIL 2023
State Convention
The State Convention is held in April during odd-numbered years . It is a member gathering for officer installations, business meetings, reports from different districts, educational programs, side trips to the surrounding area to get to know Tennessee better, and a chance to learn from and share with our members across the state. We have chairpersons specializing in garden therapy, native plants, gardening for wildlife, historic gardens, and state arboretums who share information with attendees. Locations rotate through the four districts.
